Many, many thanks to all of you who helped make Christmas brighter for the residents at Palmetto Gardens. Whether you provided a toiletry bag, a personal gift, or monetary donation, all was appreciated. Thanks to Marlene McCormack and Daniel Werts for letting us use one of their Thrivent cards. Also, thanks for all those who went on Tuesday afternoon to sing and deliver the gifts. The residents expressed many times how much they enjoyed it.

The Good Samaritan Clinic-Chapin reaches those in our community who are in need of primary health care but are underserved We are located at 1808 Chapin Road next to We Care. The clinic is staffed entirely by volunteers and we are in urgent need of medical providers (MDs, DOs, PAs, NPs) to allow the clinic to provide services on a weekly basis. The clinic is open on Thursday afternoons 3-6 pm, providers often arrive by 4 pm and serve 2-3 hours. Scheduling is flexible (some volunteer every other week, others once a month). We also are in need of volunteers in all the clinical support positions: nurses, administration/clerical (some computer skills needed), Spanish interpreters, scribes (medical background and computer skills needed). Are you or someone you know taking care of loved ones diagnosed with Alzheimer’s/Dementia and could use support?  All are welcome at a:  Monthly Caregiver Support Group, 1st Tues of each month at 2:30 at the Heritage at Lowman Wellness Center, 2101 Dutch Fork Road, Chapin, SC.
