Coming Together
There is something powerful about what happens when God’s people come together. Each Sunday when I look out across our congregation, I am reminded that the church is not simply a place we attend, but a family we belong to. We come from different backgrounds, different stories, and different seasons of life, yet Christ brings us together as one body. In a world that often pulls people apart, the church is meant to be a place where unity in Christ becomes visible.
Scripture reminds us that we are not meant to walk the Christian life alone. God designed His church so that we would encourage one another, pray for one another, and carry each other’s burdens. When one person rejoices, we rejoice together. When one person struggles, we step in with love, prayer, and support. This is what it means to live as the body of Christ, each of us playing a part in strengthening the faith of those around us.
Over the years, I have seen countless moments where this kind of unity has been lived out in beautiful ways. I’ve watched people step up to serve, offer a listening ear, prepare meals for families in need, and pray faithfully for one another. These moments may seem small, but together they reflect the heart of Christ working through His people.
My prayer for our church is that we would continue to grow in this spirit of unity. That we would not simply gather in the same room, but truly walk alongside one another in faith. As we keep Christ at the center, He will continue to shape us into the kind of community that reflects His love to the world around us.
